We’re excited to welcome everyone to Madison! Please see our travel tips and recommendations below for the best ways to get to Madison and to get around once you’re here!

If you’re not planning to drive, flying is the best and most convenient option. There are three reasonable airport options:
Dane County Regional Airport (Recommended): This is the local Madison airport. If you land here, it’s a quick taxi/rideshare or hotel shuttle to downtown Madison. Pro tip, you can buy Spotted Cow after security when flying home (no joke!)
Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport: You’re more likely to find direct flights here. It’s about an hour drive or a two-hour bus ride. Buses are operated by Badger Bus and drop you off in downtown Madison. Bonus, it does feature the world famous “Recombobulation Area.”
Chicago O’Hare Airport: Likely cheapest air travel option but also the most involved. It’s about a two-hour drive and a three-hour bus ride. Buses are operated by Van Galder Bus/Coach USA and drop you off in Downtown Madison.

Once you’ve arrived in Madison, we’ve conveniently planned the wedding weekend to center around the Capitol Square and State Street (with shuttles to and from the wedding venue). Our hope is that everything is within walking distance. However, if you do need or want to get around further or faster, there are several options:
Metro Transit: Ample routes around Downtown Madison. Routes 80, 81, 82, and 84 are free in Downtown Madison. All other fares are $2.
Madison BCycle: Electric bike share system with convenient stations around the downtown area. Always wear a helmet!
Uber/Lyft: Both Uber and Lyft are available in Downtown Madison. If you are planning to use an Uber/Lyft to and/or from the wedding venue, we strongly urge scheduling ahead. Drivers often don’t want to accept rides as far out as the venue.
Union Cab of Madison Cooperative: Standard cab company. Known for their catchy jingle, “call 2-4-2-two thousand union cab!” If you are planning to use a cab to and/or from the wedding venue, we recommend calling ahead to schedule. (ph: 608-242-2000)

Shuttle (Recommended): We have booked shuttles to and from Harvest Moon Pond from both the Edgewater Hotel and AC Hotel. We invite all of our guests to ride the shuttles even if you are not staying at either of these hotels. All shuttles are set to arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony and there will be two departure times at the end of the night. Exact times TBD, please check back for details.
Driving: Harvest Moon Pond is 25 miles outside of Madison (~35 minutes driving). There is a large parking lot outside of the venue with ample space. The address is: N3540 State Road 22, Poynette, WI 53955. We strongly encourage everyone to use the shuttles to and from the venue. Please do not drive impaired. If you find that you have driven to the venue and cannot safely drive home, please let us know, we will get you home.
Cab/Uber/Lyft (Not Recommended): If you are planning to use any of these methods to get to and from the venue, we strongly encourage you to book ahead of time as cabs/rideshares often will not accept rides as far out as the venue. Additionally, while the venue has WiFi service cell service can limited.

If you drive to Madison or rent a car, there are many options for parking throughout the downtown area (including overnight parking):
Hotel Parking: Both the Edgewater and AC Hotels offer parking. Daily parking at the Edgewater is $32-$38 per night (with in/out access) and the AC Hotel offers valet parking for $46 per night and recommends off site parking at the Capital North public lot for self-parking.
City of Madison Lots/Ramps: There are several City of Madison lots/ramps around the downtown area. All city lots are open 24 hours a day and allow for parking for up to 48 hours.
State Street Capitol Garage (200 N. Carroll Street, Madison, WI)
Overture Center Garage (318 W. Mifflin Street, Madison, WI)
State Street Campus Garage (430 N. Frances Street, Madison, WI)
Capitol Square North Garage (218 East Mifflin Street, Madison, WI)
Capitol Square South Parking Ramp (113 South Henry Street, Madison, WI)
University of Wisconsin-Madison Parking Ramps: UW-Madison parking is most convenient closer to campus rather than the Capitol Square. These do not offer overnight parking.
